Over the past 10 years as a criminal defense attorney I have learned the importance of not just knowing the law, but of knowing who my client is as a person. 

Clients come to me at what is usually one of the lowest, most stressful times of their lives. However, my clients are so much more than whatever has brought them to me. Understanding who they are outside of this situation and what led them to this place enables me to more effectively advocate on their behalf.
